From the Talmudic story of first man, via the music of Israeli singer-songwriter Ehud Banai, to the labs of the Techniyon and MIT – we will be exploring the theme of The First Light, and its connection to Hanukkah, the winter solstice and modern technology.

David Barak-Gorodetsky

David Barak-Gorodetsky is the Director of Haifa Hillel, and a PHD candidate in the Department of Jewish History at Haifa University. He will be joined by Connectech students from MIT and the Techniyon – a joint venture of Hillel and the Boston-Haifa Partnership, focusing on technology, social justice and Jewish identity.
